The Lone Bellow

“I think a certain sound ends up pairing with a certain area as you’re traveling through it,” says Brian Elmquist, one-third of Nashville’s own The Lone Bellow. “As it goes along, you’re just one with the road.” The Americana Music Award-nominated band originally began as an 8-piece 12 years ago, but has bloomed into a trio of Elmquist, Zach Williams and Kanene Donehey Pipkin. All three singers share a love of harmony, and you can hear it shine in their renditions of “Honey” and “Wherever Your Heart Is.”

When the road is your home, the people who come to hear you perform instantly become like family. On this episode of Sounds of the Road, presented by Toyota and SiriusXM, The Lone Bellow stroll through Hall of Fame Park en route to Leiper’s Fork for a live session at Fox & Locke; where music becomes gospel and harmony unites us all.

Welcome to Nashville! Season 2 of Sounds of the Road features Madison Cunningham, Devon Gilfillian and trio The Lone Bellow exploring Music City in new Toyota vehicles, stopping at iconic spots across the city to perform intimate live sessions and talk about their connection to music and life on the road.
